ONLY 12 SAWMILLERS SHOPPING DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Hi Everyone,
Can you believe this weather? Isn’t wonderful to see the sun and smell the aroma of Barbecues in the early evening, summer must be here.
I forgot to mention in the previous posting that we are very privileged to have Dianne Barnden teach for us, but now we are very excited here at Sawmillers to see that she has a quilt pattern in the latest Jenifer Dick book, ‘The Circuit Riders Quilt’. Diane was invited to submit a quilt design, so we are going to hold class after Christmas featuring her design, so keep a look out for details in forthcoming postings. Congratulations, Dianne.
Well Christmas is fast approaching, we have had a great time here at Sawmillers with our especially bought in novelties disappearing fast, the key rings, block pins etc. have been very popular, we still have a good variety in stock, along with the Olfa Mats, Rulers and Cutters in a kit, this size mat is great for those sewers and crafts people who attend classes and craft and stitching days, as the mat and ruler are easy to carry, not quite so big as the large ones, might be an idea for family or friends to give as a gift.
The quilts we have pictured are all available in kits, they are very easy to make and will be a great gift for beginners through to experienced alike, come and see what is available, don’t forget if you prefer a different border we can change that for you and present it in a box cellophaned and beribboned.
Above is our Heather Bailey ‘POP Garden’ range in the Chunky Rail Fence Design, doesn’t it look stunning, a great gift for younger members of the family, who have the impression that quilts are only available in little prints, how about trying one of these and surprising them, or perhaps make an Apron or Bag, very retro.
So here is Barney, Official Greeter and Number 2 Assistant with Archie Number 3 Assistant (Unpaid), we call them the ‘dogs amongst the daisies’ for obvious reasons, come and see our flowers in the lovely Stonestead garden, sit out side and have tea and scones, and just relax and smell the roses.
Until the next time,
Happy Quilting.
