Sale of Stonestead Devonshire Teas & Sawmillers Quiltery

15 Mar

Hi Everyone,

It is with a heavy heart we are writing to tell you that due to Kevins’ ongoing health issues he has decided to sell Stonestead, ( the property) including the the Devonshire Tea House & also Sawmillers Quiltery, I am sorry that we have been forced into this but as I am sure you will understand health comes first

We intend to honour the March & April classes, especially the Tuffett Classes & at this stage Sawmillers will continue to trade as normal untilĀ  our plans have come to fruition, classes that deposits have already been paid for will of course be refunded

We have made some wonderful friends since opening the shop 10 years ago, not just customers but tutors too & we have really appreciated the loyalty you have shown to Sawmillers

The Thursday Stitchers will continue as normal as will the Wednesday evening ladies too

Please come & see us whilst we are still here, the Official Greeters will be here too!!

First Class for the Year at Sawmillers

12 Mar

Hi Everyone
The weather today is ideal for us to be sitting indoors doing hand stitching, so to this end we welcome back Judy Betts who will be teaching a
‘Hand stitching & Applique’ class
So if you are interested in either starting a project, completing a project or you are stitching a Baltimore then this is the class for you
You don’t have to register for this class, it will be held monthly throughout the year with the exception of May & you pay per class so no upfront fees at all, just $40.00 per lesson starting on Sunday 19th March 10.30 – 2.30pm
Judy will be here to help & advise you if you need it or just encourage you, she has many years of experience & won many prizes for her work
Below is a small sample of what she does, but there are many more examples too
Come & see me in the shop when you arrive, & why not stay & have a cuppa & Devonshire Tea afterwards & get to know your classmates
