2015 Classes at Sawmillers Quiltery

19 Mar

Hi Everyone
It’s that time of the year when everyone starts thinking about participating in classes throughout the year

This year Sawmillers is having new tutors to give everyone inspiration,

Judy Betts is our resident Hand Applique tutor, if you came to the Quilt Festival you will have seen the beautiful Baltimore Album Quilt that she made in greys, although her class will also encompass all types of Applique, it is only once a month for just 2 hours

April is the month when we welcome Clare Smith to teach her Sashiko Class, Clare is a well known quilter, fabric artist and tutor, she is known for her depth of knowledge in her field, August also finds Clare teaching her Machine Quilting class

In September we have Rotorua based quilter, fabric artist & tutor Mary Tansom coming for the weekend, she will teach a 2 day class in combination with 2 x 1 day classes, so we are very lucky that she has accepted our invitation to teach here in Te Marua, a very experienced tutor and pattern designer

As well as these new tutors to Sawmillers we also welcome Chris Kenna, Shirley Mooney and Sue Bracken returning this year, they will be teaching Millefiore, Landscape, Quilt As You Go, Stacking Bow Ties, English Paper Piecing not just Hexagons, as well as small projects

Keep checking the website for other classes that will be added throughout the year

Until next time,
Happy Quilting
