Fat Quarter Frenzy

25 Apr

Hi Everyone,

Well the day is drawing near for our Fat Quarter Frenzy, as you can see this is on Saturday 1st May 10.00am – 4.30pm and is for 1 day only. The fat quarters are going be selling for $5.00 and this applies to the pre cut ones only, but there is a great variety for you to select from, we shall also have fat quarter friendly patterns available, so don’t leave it too late in the day or you will miss out. We shall still be able to cut fat quarters for you, but these will be at the regular price.

We have also just received our notions order from USA, so we have replenished our stocks of Butterfly Yo Yo’s ( pictured above ) these are great for embellishing your projects.

The Gypsy Gripper uses suction cups to attach to your ruler, making it much easier to have control, it assists in preventing the ruler from  slipping or sliding whilst cutting.

These Inkjet Fabric Sheets from EQ Printables have also arrived, for those who want to make a quilt incorporating photographs printed on fabric, this is just for you, very easy to use and great for making memory quilts.

For all those Sawmillers friends, here is the next Addison picture just received from Denniele in USA, isn’t she just gorgeous and growing by the minute, for those who met Denniele this time last year we know how proud she must feel of her new grand daughter.

We shall look forward to seeing you next week, Barney Official Greeter and 2nd Assistant will be here as will Julie to help and advise.

Until next time, Happy Quilting

Customers Work.

15 Apr

Hi Everyone,

I thought this entry we would concentrate on customers work, the picture above is of Patsy in Australia, she is the young looking mother of one of our regular customers here at Sawmillers, this is the flip flop pattern we had in stock by Kathie Alyce of Waterfall Quilts, we have met Kathie each time we have been to Houston Quilt Market, as you can see it is very effective especially in the lovely Alpha Buddy range by Andover.

As you can see this is an enormous quilt made by Rebecca, she used all 30’s Vintage fabrics the majority of which she found at Sawmillers, it has been beautifully quilted too by Sue Burnett, Rebecca submitted the quilt in a show in Australia, isn’t it beautiful?

This quilt was made in Dianne Barndens’ Star Beginnings class, this is a great class to learn more techniques.

Roses’ by Jackie Robinson for Maywood.

Mums’ by Martha Negley

These two totes are a great way to showcase our fabrics, they are lined with pockets and the fabric is protected on the exterior with transparent vinyl, these make great gifts for quilting and non quilting friends, they are made exclusively for Sawmillers and are very reasonably priced, call into Sawmillers and have a look at them, along with the beautiful butterfly fabric which has just arrived.

Today has been a rather lonely day for us here at Sawmillers as Barney, Official Greeter and 2nd Assistant has been to see Steve at Dogs R Us to get a cut and blow wave, Archie 3rd Assistant ( Unpaid ) has also had his hair done, so I am looking forward to seeing them soon, call and see how good they both look, they do enjoy going to see Steve and are always much happier afterwards.

Until next time

Happy Quilting
