UFO, Baltimore & Dear Jane Nights

27 Feb

Hi Everyone,

This is just a reminder that the first Dear Jane and Baltimore work night is being held this Friday 4th March at 6.30 onwards, this is to enable all those stitchers who are making these beautiful projects to get together in Stonestead Cottage and  not only stitch together but encourage and inspire each other too.

Bring along your mats, cutters, rulers and machines and have an evening of accomplishment!

There will be more pictures posted of quilts on http://stonestead.wordpress.com within the next few days.

Until next time,

Happy Quilting

Hi Everyone,

Whilst we at Sawmillers are so far away from the terrible events that are occurring in Christchurch, Kevin, myself and official greeters would like to express are heartfelt thoughts to all those visitors at Sawmillers who have family and friends in the Christchurch region and know we are thinking and praying for them.

Until next time

Has Anybody Seen The ‘Stonestead’ Sign??

12 Feb

Hi Everyone,
We have done very well to have kept the Stonestead sign for so long, but now it has been stolen!!
The sign was one of the first things Kevin made when he decided to open a tea house
So if you see it please get in touch!

Everything Is Crossed.

10 Feb

Hi Everyone,

This is what it looks like now when we look outside, and we are confident it will look like this ( below) on Sunday 13th February.

All the volunteers are ready to go and we shall be here early on Sunday morning being very efficient and displaying the quilts to their best advantage, so come and join us at 10.00am onwards, Glen from Wellington Sewing Services will be with us along with his machines and a computer display, Mr Scissor Man hopefully will also be with us too and the Bouncy Castle will also be here for the children to play on whilst you are able to wander around and take in the atmosphere. You can also tour the garden and get a Devonshire Tea as well.

If by some terrible quirk of fate we have the dreaded damp stuff, we shall cancel altogether and I shall post details of quilt collection and refunds at that stage.

Until next time

Happy Quilting
