Anzac Day Opening Hours and Class Reminders

Hi Everyone

Easter is almost over but we also have Anzac Day at the end of the week, Sawmillers will be open from 1.00pm in accordance with Dept of Labour regulations.

Classes that are coming up are as follows

4 Sided Kaleidoscope tutored by Shirley Mooney  1 day class  Saturday 3rd May

We have a great stock of fabrics at Sawmillers in a variety of ranges and you will get your 10% discount for your class fabric as well as continuous Morning and Afternoon Tea and a complimentary Devonshire Tea for lunch! Or you may decide to use fabric from your stash, whichever come and join Shirley’s class and sew in the Stonestead Cottage

All About Hand Applique tutored by  Judy Betts Sunday 4th May 11.00am – 1.00pm $40.00 per lesson

Whether it be your Baltimore you are stuck on, the technique of Applique or the Memories Quilt, Judy will be joining us once more in May, if you would like to join this group just let me know at Sawmillers for enrollment, it is on a month to month basis so you don’t have to pay for the full course all at once!

Crabs from Crabapple Cove: aka English Paper Piecing tutored by Sue Bracken Saturday 17th May & 14th June  10.00am – 1.00pm Total Class Fee $75.00

We have now kitted this wall hanging, so you don’t have to spend valuable time finding the fabrics, the starter kit contains all the fabric you need to make this wall hanging, along with the papers for the shapes, great introduction to this historical method of patchwork along with great advice, hints and tips.

Jelly Roll Jigsaw tutored by Sue Bracken Saturday 24th May 10.00am – 4.30pm

Jelly Rolls have proven very popular over the years, if you would like to do this class, we have a great variety of Jelly Rolls you can choose from, all will attract the 10% class discount along with continuous Morning & Afternoon Tea and a complimentary Devonshire Tea for lunch! Come & join Sue’s class and sew in the Stonestead Cottage.

Easter Opening Hours

Hi Everyone

Now all the excitement of the Royal visit has calmed down, I am sure there are lots of us who would like to get ‘stuck in’ to our latest patchwork and quilting projects, it seems that if you are not going away for the long weekend that this is the time to do it.

So Sawmillers will be open on Saturday 19th and also on Monday 21st April, whilst a lot of quilt fabrics close on Easter Monday, we shall be here and by we I mean the Official Greeters and me and of course Stonestead will be open throughout the long weekend except Good Friday for all those yummy scones and Home Made Jams.

So call and see us all, whilst it may be wet and miserable outside, it is toasty warm inside the shop and there is lots to see including the forthcoming class samples.
