Coast to Coast Merchants Mall

25 Nov

Hi Everyone,

Well, what a busy few days we have had at Sawmillers, Saturday saw Kevin and I driving with packed cars to the Horticultural Hall in Lower Hutt, where we unpacked and set up our booth for the Merchants Mall all very nerve wracking, but at the end of the day, very successful.

It was great to see so many familiar faces and not so familiar too, I couldn’t have done it without the help of my Aide de Compte, Adrienne. We had a fun day with lots of help from the ‘Angels‘ they were always on hand if we needed anything and also kept us supplied with hot and cold drinks.

Monday found me en route to Palmerston North with the car packed up yet again, this time with dancing paraphernalia, I had been invited by Rose City Quilters to speak at their final year meeting, my topic was Ballroom and Latin American dancing dresses.

I was made most welcome by Sue the President and Diane the Secretary as well as Helen, we had a great evening and everyone seemed to enjoy the lively talk and admired the dresses too.

Rose City Quilters have a very active club with very talented members, so I enjoyed the Show and Tell particularly.

This week we now have our Sawmillers Christmas Tree dressed, there are some cute goodies on the tree for quilters gifts, block pins, charms and key rings, along with a display of Jim Shore figurines which you may be aware all have a quilting pattern on them and fat quarter dress packs and Charm Squares too.

I shall finish this and give the puppies their lunch, until next time

Happy Quilting

    Yvonne,

Looks like your schedule has been busy. I love Jim Shore….he is so creative! Hope your puppies are behaving. We had a lovely Thanksgiving with 4 of the 5 kids at home…..reality sets in again tomorrow as we start the work week. I talked to Dianne and it seems you are having lovely weather…we are yoyoing between cold and mild. Love to you both, Denniele

Hi Yvonne, I’ve sure missed catching up with you. Sounds like Coast 2 Coast was very successful. Look forward to popping up to check out what I’ve been missing out on over the weekend. Luv Jx
