Goodbye Archie

25 Jun

1998 – 2010

With heavy hearts, yesterday we had to say goodbye to our dear friend and 3rd Assistant (Unpaid), Archie.

From the day he arrived, Archie has been a constant companion to Barney and Mum (Yvonne), and a colourful addition to our family. We will miss his wagging tail and determined romps through Narnia (aka Trentham Memorial Park), his cheerful wanderings in the neighbourhood and battles with Precious.

Goodbye Archie!

They will not go quietly the dogs who’ve shared our lives. In sultle ways they let us know their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think we hear a barking at the door
Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be.
And sometimes coming home at night we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill.
That one place in our hearts belongs to them and always will.
Thinking of you in your sadness. you did the bravest thing and the ultimate act of love. Love and hugs Claire

So sorry to read that Archie has died. Dogs are part of the family and it is a real sadness when we lose them. My sympathy to you Yvonne.

My thoughts have been with you all week. Saying goodbye to our beloved fur-babies is one of the hardest things we have to face in life. Barney and Precious will miss him too.

Hugs to you, George, Georgia, Sam & James.

    Love Jxox

    Oh NO :-((

Oh Yvonne I am so sorry to hear this.

I have a lot of animal loving friends who believe that animals pass across the Rainbow Bridge to a place of joy and happiness and they wait for us there.

      Hi Marjorie,
Thank you for this & what a lovely thought that is, I can just see Archie by the bridge.

So sorry to hear the sad news. How unfamiliar the shop will be and I’ll not be able to give the dogs a little treat out of my hidden stash ( doggy treats that is not material).

We are overwhelmed with every ones wonderful support & sympathy at this the saddest time we have had, I miss seeing him under the machine so much, doesn’t seem the same not seeing when I sew.
I shall look forward to seeing you & hopefully we can find other treats for you instead.
      Thank you
